The Dynamite Vikings was established in Copenhagen in 1998 by Estonian guitarist Jaak Sooäär, Swedish bass player Thommy Andersson and Danish drummer Karsten Mathiesen. They set themselves the goal to explore new territories of classical power trio of guitar, bass and drums  and perform original experimental pieces where strictly composed music meets free improvisation. Adding live-electronics, their own voices and an explosive amount of creativity to the mix the three men has over time developped their own uniqe music style which could be described as "progressive postmodern jazzrock". This is a trio that has always been associated with extreme, novelty and freshness.
