Viljandi Guitar Festival 2008

September 23-27, 2008 is the time when the first Estonian improvisational guitar festival took place in Viljandi.

In order to support further development of the art form that has been gaining popularity – guitar playing – the musicians Ain Agan, Robert Jürjendal and Aleksei Saks decided to join hands, and bring to all Estonian music lovers these extraordinary aspects and ways of expression that this instrument has. Guitar, as it has turned out, is not merely a combination of a neck, soundbox and a certain number of strings.
